Torchstar blinked quickly as he felt a pressure on his back. He tried to see behind him, knowing that Snowpaw had landed on his back.
His eyes showed amusment as he heard her comment, not thinking of it before. Ha ha, yeah, I guess I am the best. He thought boastfully to himself, as he flipped over quickly, hoping to squish Snowpaw off him.

Snowpaw was next to sure he would flip her over, and he did. This time she didn't think it over fully, she acted. She kicked his stomach, sending sharp blows, temporarily stunning any cat. That gave her the time she needed to squirm out from under his dark ginger pelt.
She staggered backwards, struggling to get her balance. Once she regain her her hold on the ground, she smiled at him before diving back in the grass, pressing herself low, she couldn't be seen this time! [/blockquote]

Torchstar rolled back and staggered up, his tail lashing out as he watched Snowpaw regain her balance and flee back into the tall grass. His whiskers twitched and he smirked slightly. "She's better than I thought." He murmmered to himself, his mouth then parting so he could take in the scents around.
He couldn't tell where Snowpaw had disappeared too just yet, and couldn't see her through the thick grass. "Come out, come out." He meowed, his voice showing off his amusment. He was having a really fun time training Snowpaw, she was quite a skilled apprentice.
He paused as he heard something snap beyond where he stood. His ears prickled and he dived into the ferns, keeping low as he strained to hear another movement. He scented the air again, and caught Snowpaw's scent. Got you. He thought as he plunged deeper into the braken, eyes and ears alert.
But for some reason, whatever he was following was leading him farer away from the tall grass. She's fast... Torchstar thought as he picked up the pace, tail twitching as he followed silently behind the thing he was following.

Course I'm better then you thought, I was trained by you, Snowpaw smiled. Her ears pricked to catch his words, thinking of her previous sessions with Torchstar.
Come and find me instead, she thought, thinking exactly what to do next. Snowpaw's ears flicked back as he started closing in on her. She kept rushing forwards in big bounds, she didn't want to be all slow, he would find her within seconds. Something snapped behind her, she flexed her muscles and forwards, running around the ferns.

Torchstar's eyes narrowed as he tried to see through the dense grass. He caught site of his apprentice's snow-white fur for just a second before it disappeared again. definally fast.. He thought, ears perking as he raced to where he saw her disappear.
He leapt over a small puddle in the ground and skidded to a haul, panting. He didn't know which way Snowpaw went... "Where are you..." He murrmered deeply to himself, eyes flicking back and fourth from each little gap in the grass blades. He scented the air frequently as he padded stealthily and slowly through the territory, eyes and ears alert for her.

Hearing the soft thud of his paws as he jumped, she could tell where he was once he was halted. She hopped to where he was, feeling like a little kit again, the next thing she did wasn't kit-like.
Hissing she threw herself where she was sure Torchstar was stand, as she flew by him her paw raked his side. If this were a battle her claws would have scarred his pelt, leaving deep wounds, its hard to recover from that. "And your the famous Torchstar?" Snowpaw snickered playfully, shocking herself with how much she sounded and acted like a real warrior.

The dark ginger tom ducked when he saw the face of Snowpaw jump out, but alas, he wasn't quick enough. He moved out of the way quickly as he felt her paw rake along his side.
His eyes flashed as she made her comment, his lips turned up into a small smirk, "Don't get cocky, your good, but your not as good as me." He meowed, his tail swishing as he took his chance and lept at her from the side, and head-butted her over.
Eyes daring, the leader circled her slowly, wondering how she would make a comeback. She was acting like a real warrior, let's see her keep it up.

Torchstar's counter move took her by surprise, but a ScorchClan warrior could have slit her throat by now, Torchstar was much too smart for the "playing dead" trick. So she decided to try a different angle...
Moving swiftly she pulled herself up with little effort and watched her mentor circle her. One thing she had learned from today was not to attack where your enemy is now, but where their going to be. She quickly darted left, then changed her paw steps at the last second and went right, bowled back into the ferns.

Torchstar followed her movements with cunning yellow eyes as he watched her start to move right. But what she didn't know was that he watched her eyes as well, her blue orbs had switched to the right just before she headed that way.
His body moved just as her tail-tip disappeared, and he was hot on her tail once again. His body moved swiftly and stealithily through the ferns as he kept his gaze locked on to her white pelt. He felt the energy surging within him as he bolted faster and faster, eyes showing casualness as he chased after his apprentice.
"Nice.....try..." He panted behind her, smiling shortly as his long legs propelled him forward, making him land directly beside her Now running side-by-side, the deep ginger tom grinned over at her, and meowed quickly, "You've proved your speed to me, good work." His tail twitched, gesturing her to follow him. He was heading toward the border with ScorchClan. Now was the time to show her the real deal.
He came to a heavy stop as he arrived, panting slightly as he sat down, with shoulders back and eyes alert as he stared across the border silently. His ears prickled as he heard the small movements of near-off prey, ignoring them for now. His face turned into a thoughtful forwn as he stared into the territory that was ScorchClan. Everything seemed to grow silent and cold as he sat there, yellow eyes pinned to the dark shadows within.
His face remained ahead as he heard the quick paw-steps of his apprentice from behind.

Fangpaw walked down the StreamClan border, his claws unsheathed and his eyes scanning for his next victim. Ever since the first cat he killed he needed to kill more. Every day a cat fell to his claws. Most of them were loners but he didn't care. A loner was still a cat. And any cat that was stupid enough to cross paths with Fangpaw deserved to die.
Very soon Fangpaw scented Torchstar. He slowly crept along the border with a smirk on his face. Torchstar would die, and he would finally be made a warrior. He crept up behind Torchstar and started to laugh. "Hello again Torchstar! Remember me?" He spat. "You should. I am the former Brownpaw! Now known as Fangpaw!"

Snowpaw whipped around as she scented a third smell, ScorchClan! So she had been correct earlier when she thought she detected the scent, it had been this tiny apprentice, smaller then herself. She stalked back towards her mentor, teeth bared, eyes alert and bright, like bright blue skies."Fangpaw! This is StreamClan land! This is not your place, leave here!" Snowpaw sneered, disturbed that this mangy thing had even bother to set foot on her Clan's land. Just because ScorchClan is big and has lots of land doesn't mean we were some bushes that they were able to walk all over, because they weren't!

Torchstar's icy amber eyes flashed around the ScorchClan territory, he opened his mouth and scented someone. He instantly became alert, and was surprised that their was only one cat, a young one at that... But something wasn't quite right in the air...
The leader became stiff as he saw a cat creeping over the border, his eyes narrowed and he stared solidly at the cat he thought he knew, but wasn't quite sure...
His fur brisled as the cat came closer. He stood fully and bared his fangs at the tresspasser. His ears prickled as he heard the voice and sentence come from the tom. ....Brownpaw..? He thought, his eyes flashing in rememberence of the ex-StreamClan apprentice.
Eyes glaring icily at the now named Fangpaw, Torchstar hissed and growled, "Yes, I do remember you. What are you doing on StreamClan territory? ScorchClan not big enough for your small form?" He asked, his voice hostile and sneering as he stared defiantly at the tom. He knew Fangpaw was a bad type, he was hungry for power, and very dangerous, but Torchstar was not afraid of this nuisence. "Leave. now" He hissed, eyes narrowing as his claws unsheltered and he stood over the ambitious cat, tail lashing.
He heard his apprentice Snowpaw coming up behind him, and he couldn't think of a better time. Snowpaw would have to show her real skills now. This was a real hostile situation, with a tresspasser here, this would be the perfect time for Snowpaw to act like a real warrior.
He glanced at her, his eyes showing his proudness of her. She was defending her clan well. His eyes went back to Fangpaw's evenly and his tail lashed once. "You are out-numbered young Fangpaw. It would be a wise decision to run while you can..." He hissed, eyes narrowing into slits as he waited for the apprentice to make a move.
However, he did not notice a second feline in the distance.

Fangpaw laughed. "You underestimate me. Like you always have. Remember what I did to my parents? The cats who tried to stop me from leaving Streamclan. And who shall forget Riverpaw? The young ten moon apprentice who lost her life to my claws. You, Torchstar, will soon die as well. But first, young Snowpaw will!" He growled before leaping at Snowpaw, claws unsheathed, ready to kill.

Snowpaw growled, baring her teeth at the sight of her old denmate, now named Fangpaw. "You don't belong here!" She sneer and his paw's left the ground, at the same moment she launched herself at him. With Torchstar she needed to pretend he was the enemy, she didn't have to with Fangpaw, he betrayed his birth-Clan and her, she could tear him all she wanted and have no mutual feelings over it. "This is no longer your home! You betrayed us for ScorchClan! You will never be looked at the same by any of your old Clanmates!" She howled, pain tinting her voice that any cat could do that and betray them, just like that! "What made you do it, Fangpaw?! Did you hate us that much?! Or were you just too much of a coward to face your own fears?!" Snowpaw cried as they broke apart from battle, both apprentices were covered in scratches and tufts of white and brown fur covering the soft frosted earth. "What was it, Fangpaw?! Tell me!" She screeched in a voice that hardly sounded like her own. "Tell me!" With one last cry she propelled herself towards the young tom and ran her claws down the side of his pelt, she could tell they made deep marks. She whipped around to glare at him, anger enchanting her mind, everything she was doing was out of betrayal she felt from Brownpaw. Panting heavily, she slowly started backing away... Not able to take her eyes off the deep marks she had made on Fangpaw's side, or the look in his eyes, she would never forget the look in his eyes for as long as she lived. I don't wanna be a monster! her mind screeched at her and she took quicker steps backwards, falling over a branch, trying to blink away tears from her eyes. She breathed heavily, waiting for Fangpaw to come finish her off. [/blockquote]

Fangpaw slowly walked up to Snowpaw and put one paw on her chest and the other on her throat. "As your dying wish I shall tell you. I left because Streamclan were too weak and hiding my true power and potential. Weak like you!" He spat with a crooked smile before raising his claws and preparing to make the final strike.

Torchstar watched in brief surprise as Fangpaw lunged at Snowpaw. He crouched low, fur bristling even more than before, his eyes locked on the two apprentices fighting. she knows what she's doing...I'll let Snowpaw fight for a bit.. The orange tabby thought, his tail twitching as he heard the loud hisses and crys of his apprentice to the ScorchClan tom.
He could see the sadness and hate plastered on Snowpaw's face, and it stung Torchstar. To see his apprentice like this. His heart quickened as he saw that the two were really getting into the battle. His ears twitched and he felt the anger and hate come off in waves from Snowpaw. His eyes flashed as he saw her land a blow to Fangpaw's side, leaving deep gashes. yes! Torchstar thought as he moved so he was edging closer to the two, seeing what would happen next.
To his surprise and fear, he saw Snowpaw backing away from Fangpaw. what is she doing! The young tom thought, alarmed for his apprentice. His eyes flashed in fear as he saw Fangpaw get up and pad over to her slowly. His eyes narrowed as he saw the hunger in Fangpaw's lustful eyes. nothing but a murderer... Torchstar thought grimly as he glanced at Snowpaw's tear-stained face.
He snapped out of his daze as he saw what Fangpaw was doing. I'm not going to let him hurt her... The leader thought fiercely as his back muscles tensed and he lept from where he stood and came with unsheltered claws and bared teeth at Fangpaw's back.
The orange tom sank his teeth into the back of Fangpaw's scruff deeply, and swung his broad head toward the ScorchClan border and released his hold on the apprentice, sending him flying badger lengths away. He glared angrily at the former StreamClan tom and spat out the fur that stuck to his tongue.
"Only weak cats kill in cold blood." He spat at the tom, tail lashing as he stared with cold eyes at the brown feline. He stepped toward Fangpaw dangerously, daring the tom to come any closer, he wasn't going to attack just yet, he might as well let the tom get away while he still had his other side clear of scars. Because Torchstar would be more than happy to give him a good one on the side Snowpaw hadn't slashed!! "Go, or I'll give you a scar you will never forget." He threatened, hackles raising as he waited for the tom's decision.

Fangpaw stood up and glared at Torchstar. He circled Torchstar. "Define weak. I can. StreamClan, Torchstar, Snowpaw!" He spat before digging his claws into the ground. "And I don't think killing during a fight with another Clan is in cold blood. I would say its okay. Anything ScorchClan does is okay. I mean no other clans have the power to stop us!" He growled before pouncing at Torchstar, the intent to kill in his eyes.

Torchstar watched as the young cat circled him, eyes locked in a cold glare down. He let out a hiss at Fangpaw's words, "Heh, keep holding on to that dream." He growled, smirking slightly as he watched the tom come at him. He acted quick, since Fangpaw was smaller and had shorter legs, it gave Torchstar the advantage. Speed.
The leader swerved to the side swiftly and his orange eyes glowed in mockery, "Who's weak again..?" He asked, his teeth baring as he lunged at Fangpaw, gripping the tom's tail between his teeth and crunching down HARD. He tugged on it fiercely and heard a snap, he tasted blood on his tongue and swelled with satisfaction. Fangpaw was going to find out what a true beating felt like. The leader's eyes burned fiercely as he let go and growled forcefully, ready for him to attack again, if he dared.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Oakstripe, a handsome young warrior, padded through the StreamClan marshes, his tail held high in contentment. It was a cool day, and the scents waffled past his nose pleasantly. His ears flicked in either directions, making sure he was alert at all times, even if he was just taking a nice stroll through the lands.
The sound of distant hisses and growls split the quiet air. The russet furred tom stopped dead in his tracks, and his eyes widened. what's going on? He wondered, his instincts kicking in as he bolted toward the sounds. He came into a clearing, right outside the tall grass and he scented cats. His eyes peered ahead and he noticed the flamey pelt of Torchstar, along with the white puff of fur known as Snowpaw. His eyes widened as he saw a cat he did not recognize, at least by name, but by scent he did! ScorchClan!
Oakstripe let out a hiss of fury as he saw the fight going on. He was hoping that only one ScorchClan cat was attacking, but their may be more nearby....Or their would be, with all the racket their making along the border, someone was sure to hear them quarreling cats like he had!
Oakstripe bounded up the small hill, fur bristling and claws unsheltered as he watched the fit. He didn't' jump in until he knew he was needed. "Snowpaw!" He called the the shaken apprentice, "Are you injured?" He asked, his eyes darting toward the two fighting cats momently before looking back at Snowpaw, he had made his way over to the apprentice and was staring down into her blue eyes, concerned for the young apprentice. It didn't seem like she was hurt, that was good.

"Just shaken!" Snowpaw growled, glaring at her mentor and leader locked in battle with the small apprentice. ScorchClan had trained him well, but he wasn't able to take on Torchstar, she flinched as his tail was ripped off, her ears down quickly.
I respect Torchstar but is he just a monster like those other ScorchClan leaders? Deathstar? Scorchstar?... No, Torchstar's different, he's more good then bad she told herself firmly. [/blockquote] ------------------------------------------------------------- Frostfire had been following Fangpaw, she worried about the younger apprentice. He had crossed the border and was taking on his old den-mates and former leader on by himself, clearly outnumber, and in the time a second StreamClan warrior seemed to appear out of nowhere. It must be very hard to leave your old life behind and face your fears like that battling your old Clanmates... Frostfire thought, turning her head away.
Once Torchstar, the leader of StreamClan took over and started breaking Fangpaw's tail, she hissed, he needed help. Glad she had followed him here, she burst out from behind the shrub of which she was hiding behind.
"Torchstar! Picking on apprentices!? Try someone your own size!" She growled, charging at the orange tabby tom, tackling him head on, her blue eyes flaring.

Fangpaw glared at Torchstar. "Still you. And I am going to prove that!" He spat. He started to looked around Torchstar, at anything he could use to his advantage. Or any wounds he could attack. If he found one it would be over for Torchstar. He pounced at Torchstar
