Frostfire yawned as she followed Foxslash and Ashstorm on the patrol. They both had their heads held high, thinking they were the best, toms! I can do anything just as good or better then they can, and they wouldn't even notice. a hiss sounded in her mind, as she followed them.

Foxslash snickered for a moment and then realized the deputy was serious. "Ha! I didn't know that I struck you as a romantic type, Ashstorm," he mewed dryly. "She's already born me three strong kits. Look what great Scorchclan warriors they turned out to be! Why should I bother with such feelings when my legacy can be carried on without them?"
He glanced at Dustfeather as she shrank back into the Underling tunnels. "Of course, that fiery attitude and those eyes don't hurt," he mewed with a smirk.
Then he caught sight of Frostfire behind him. "Something wrong?" he asked with a dangerous glint in his eye, threatening her not to repeat what she'd just heard.
*
Dustfeather glared at the cold hard ground. She didn't look at the other underlings. She was embarassed to see them. And there was no way that she'd ever consider herself one of them. She would not give in to this despair. She'd hate Scorchclan with all her heart just to feel something. By not killing her hate, she imagined they were losing to her, not the other way around.

toms! they cannot be trusted, at least ones from ScorchClan! She wanted to tell Dustfeather, sometimes she felt more loyal to the underlings then the toms of her own Clan! She wanted an escape, to be treated as an equal not an outcast, just because she was a she.
A slight growl rose in Frostfire's throat, she challenged Foxslash, there was one thing he needed cleared up. She was not helpless, under any means, she could look after herself without any tom by her side.

Ashstorm sneered, "Just making sure you're not actually" he snickered. "What kind of proper warrior would have feelings for an underling?" Looking to his paws Ashstorm noticed a rustling. The deputy leapt at the small hedge, landing on a small apprentice. "What!?" Bloodpaw exclaimed, backing away with a hiss. "What was that for?!"

Foxslash rolled his eyes. she-cats were so overdramatic. A real warrior would have laughed with them. Foxslash faced forward just as Ashtorm leapt in to the air. Hearing the apprentice squeal, Foxslash paused and gave the apprentice a look of dark amusement.
"Well, well, seems you've caught an awfully small squirrel, Ashstorm."

Frostfire growled once more, she had seen enough of toms for her life. She stalked over to the small she-cat and stood over her, glaring at Foxslash in the eye. "Do you have something you'd like to say, Foxslash?" She growled-a hint of snarl tinging her voice-lowering her head, her sky-like eyes turning into dark blue slits.

Foxslash stared dangerously into the eyes of the she-warrior. She was challenging him? He flexed his unsheathed claws, then...resheathed them and threw his head back and laughed mockingly. "Frostfire you take yourself far too seriously. I was only having a bit of fun." He lowered his gaze to Frostfre's. "Let's go. We're wasting time."

Ashstorm noded, A slight lare toward Bloodpaw and the aprentice sneered, turnin away. Bloodpaw was stron and devoted but she had an attitude, the one downside. The deputy belived that if she could get over herself she just might make a good warrior yet. "Let's go then" Ashstorm instructed, returning to the patrol, glancing back he saw Bloodpaw slip away.

Duskpaw sat alone in a shadowy corner of camp, trying to ignore the screaming, She wondered where Firepaw was. She needed someone to talk to, and have fun with, before she would go mad with depression...

Firepaw walked over to Duskpaw and sat down next to her sister. She bent over to her and whispered, "You would think that for warriors they would be more mature." She then let out a sigh and meowed more loudly, "do you want to ask if we can go with them? It would be nice to get out of the camp." And maybe if we get out of the camp we can get away.

Duskpaw nodded silently, not only at the idea of getting out, but also at the hidden thought of escaping. It might not be a bad idea, though she knew the consequences if they failed again. They would definitely be killed..

Firepaw nodded then ran over to the patrol of Scorchclan cats and meowed, "Hey, can Duskpaw and I please come? We want to get out and streach our legs plus we could help take fresh-kill back to the camp."

Duskpaw nodded vigorously, after having quickly bounded after her friend. Her only friend. The one whom she might get out with, once and for all. Then he again. He might also be the one she would be killed along with, and buried in the morning. She tried not to think about that.
